I installed a new impeller and wear ring on my 96 XP 800. When I put the impeller onto the the shaft it had about 1/8 in play, like it's supposed to. when I put the pump on to the transom and tightened the four nuts down it caused the impeller to bind against the wear ring. I loosened it up a little bit and I was able to turn it, but with some resistance. When I tightened the nuts I did it in a criss cross pattern. The neoprene seal is in there too. Any ideas????
