Jet pump oil Question

Hey everyone...got a quart of Coastal 75w-90 gear oil that is GL-5 rated.Would this be ok for the jet pump oil???

Should be fine, as long as its synthetic and GL-5 rated. I use Mobil 1, LS, synthetic, GL-5, 75w-90.

Well it is GL-5 rated but it does not say synthetic but on there website it says sulfur and phosphorus based...I guess thats where the nasty smell comes from???
