Ski sounds different for the first time since new...loud drive system, but erratic. Ran 50-60 miles and the performance is perfect. Howling at idle, sometimes while moving...and then goes away. Pulled pump assembly and bearing is very rough. Sounds (to me) just like any FWD car with a front wheel bearing going bad.

#1 What's the best/ easiest (not cheapest) way to get a correct bearing/seal (rebuild) kit for my ski. It's a 2003 GTX 4-tech 155. What parts are recommended? it is all stock & runs like a bandit since day one!

#2 The repair is straight forward (for me) but no one mentions torque? I have to torque things all day long in my business. What's the deal?

#3 Looks like you are now using something like 75w90 FULL SYN for the bearing lube. I know that will do the job...and what engineer ever decided on grease for oem anyway?

#4 Looks like blue Loctite for all the hardware?

Found (salt?) water in anti-cavitation cone, rear cover thing. Disassembled 12MM with 1/2" electric impact...has RIGHT hand threads. Easy to hold impeller nose...NOT THE BLADES please!

Appears that water has entered from the front/ impeller side. Bearing seals or impeller shaft seal finally gave up?

Still need correct parts and torque specs to properly reassemble this unit.

Going to make a jig to hold impeller for tightening.....or get the spline tool.
