Issue with 2004 3d not accellerating til warm and battery issues.

i have a 2004 3d. when starting it it will run but when giving throttle it will not accellerate. it will not bog just not accelerate til some 30 seconds then it will start to sputter and jump and accelerate then stop then go then stop getting better and better over the next min or 2. after it is warm it runs like a champ. only when cold it wont accellerate. also is seems like the battery doesnt charge. replaced the battery. same issue. starts ok but wont charge. any ideas will be greatly appreciated

(it is a DI 787 2stroke like the 2005 isnt it?)
The running issues could be related to your plugs and injectors, the plugs are cheep- just change them anyway, they are resistance plugs that cant really be cleaned.
You can run some injector cleaner through it or take the injectors out and get them professionally serviced.
