I am at my wits end. Starbord engine quit while beating this thing in ruff water. It just died, no sputter or anything. Good compression on both engines, both have spark. Starbord engine will start after sitting overnight only for a few seconds. Pouring a lil fuel in the carbs while it is running for those few seconds just makes it die. Choking it makes it not want to start. Giving throttle while cranking does nothing also. Fuel lines have been changed. fuel filter clear. I didnt think it was fuel issue because of the way it just died and putting gas in the carbs does nothing but flood the engine. I bought a new wsm stator and replaced it. It started right up, ran for 10 seconds till i shut it down. I put the rest of the engine back together and tried to start it again. Its doing the same thing now dying after a few seconds. I swapped carbs from one engine to the other and the problem does not follow the carbs so this has got to be electrical even though the thing has spark??? Can my dess post be bad or the neutrel safety switch and only causing one engine to not run??? HELP

Ok well I finally figured out what it was. The worm gear on the rotary valve was sheared. One cylinder was open and it ran for only a few seconds, thats why putting fuel in the carbs was making it prone to flood.
