Am I just wasting my time?
I want to replace My Brass gear with the Crankshaft still in the Case.
Is it Possible? The manual says it must be installed before the Crankshaft.
Any advice will be nice, Good advice would be better.

I don't think it's possible. The service manual is usually correct.
