installing thru hull bushing

Trying to install new thru hull bushing but it too tight of a fit any ideas on enlarging the opening,I have tried filing,but this is not helping Thanks

Why are you trying to replace yours? Unless it is destroyed, it shouldnt need replacing. What replacement are you using? With the Sea Doo one, I have heard of guys using a dremel tool to slightly open the hole. Then use a block of wood or rubber mallet to massage the new one in. Dont forget to use epoxy to seal it in.
