I got a new oil sensor and it just seems to slide into the hole . What is supposed to hold it in? Right now just a bungee cord and that does not seem right.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum. I believe that the sensor is held in by a rubber grommet. Check out the parts link at the top of the page, look up the part on your model and see if it's set up any differently than yours.

That looks like the same setup Part # 26. The sensor I have does have a rubber grommet but I don't seem to have a tight fit. I may have it on incorrectly. If I could get a picture of one that is on an oil tank that may help.
Thanks

I looked at the parts diagram and I don't see part 28. There is a rubber grommet on the sensor so maybe that may not be in correctly.
I will have to stop another boat and look at it I guess as I don't seem to find any instructions anyplace.
Thanks
