Info gauge rebuild kits???

My GTX info gauge looks like the before picture in the ebay auction. Buying a gauge is pretty expensive but this rebuild kit is $25 which makes me skeptical. I was wondering if anyone has used one of these to fix their gauge. How hard is it to do? Did it hold up?

I have done 3 and they all work great. Some have not had as good of luck. You just open it up, clean it up and put the film on and reassemble. The hardest part is pulling the gauge. It is like putting on a screen protector. The cleaner you are, the better. Not sure what their issues have been, but I have a full season on two. I did the third this season. They look and work like new. The last time I did one, I bought a full sheet of the film.
