Hello

I have a 97 XP and it sees to not be getting enough gas idling (shuts off unless I stay on the throttle fairly heavy)

Can I adjust this by just tightening the cable?

Is there something else that would cause this?

Thanks

Go thru the fuel delivery system and re-build the carbs. Whats your maintenance history?

I'd first try making sure the idling screw on the carbs is set right and while your at it check the low speed screw and the high speed acrew

Hi guys,

I have actually just rebuilt the carbs.

Can i get some more info on the location of the low/high speed screw and the idiling screw.

Thanks :)

Great Thanks Bill

This is my first seadoo, so im not sure if it supposed to idle with out me giving it any throttle be cause mine dies with out me holding the throttle a little bit. (sorry might seem like a stupid question)

you need to rebuild that carbs and change the grey fuels lines if you still got them. start there, and adjust the low and high speed needles back to factory. also only rebuild with oem minuki kits, also replace the needle and seat. its better to spend the money now and not have problems down the road. you can get rebuild kits from seadoo source . com
