Bad luck i guess... trying to install the first circlip and it flew down to the bottom of the hull... i tried using my magnet stick to get it but no luck..... what should i do if i cant get it from out of the hull? can i use the old ones? or do i need to buy a new one? and if so where do i buy a new one?

Any help is appreciated, Thanks Jason.

Luckily they are steel so a magnet will get them. ( unlike lots of the stainless hardware on ski )

But I install the left circlip in piston before even putting it on connecting rod with wrist pin. Saves me from trying to fight it in ski.

Whatever manufacturer you got the pistons from will sell them.

Look around on the sides as well. Sometimes they get stuck around
the foam. Keep fishing. Look in the bottom of the block as well as any open cavity.
Tip the machine up and see if it moves to the back.
Should always install one clip in the piston before hand.
Don't re-use the old ones. They are more likely to fail after being bent a few times during install and removal.

Thanks for the help guys... i ended up ordering some from the guy i bought the kit from and there really cheap.. only issue is there goes a day of work.... also wondering if theres a technique to put them in. Its so hard!!!!

I tried again and i scratched the side of the piston a tiny bit so i stopped.... i just cant get it in....
i need help :'(

Jason I use an old plastic "bone" tool. It's from my former career. It is designed to remove door panels on cars. It will not damage the piston or circlip. After multiple attempts it will have a small indentation in it, it acts as an area for the clip to sit and not bounce out of bone tool. There are multiple names for it but they are cheap at harbor freight.

Thanks for the help guys it was appreciated but i ended up getting it in with brute force... if i ever rebuild a seadoo again im going to buy a tool.
