Hi,
I just got two SeaDoo GTX last year. I was just completing the oil change and noticed that there are two different dipsticks. One is orange/red and the other is yellow. The red one has number 956932 and the yellow is 956933. they are about 1/8" different in length. the yellow one is longer. I thought they would be the same length, but i put them next to each other and was surprised.

The GTX's are identical (manufactured in the same month). non-supercharged.

I am guessing that when the previous owner took it in for maintenance at the dealer, the dealer may have switched them out??? (the prior owner always took them to the dealer for service)

Which one is the correct one?

if you put the proper amount of oil in it, which one is reading properly ??? and also, take it, and mark it, then mark other one accordingly
you can clean it off with alchohol, and paint it white to the proper level --

I'm not sure which one is reading properly. For now, i will just target middle on each (then it will at least be within the bends on the other stick) i was just more curious.

Looking into part number catalogs, it looks like the 32 (red) stick is the right one and the 33 (yellow) stick is for 2003-2005 supercharged versions. (however, the oil fill cap is yellow on each machine - i would naturally think that the dipstick and fill cap color would match)

Is there a difference in fill level between a supercharged and na engine?

thanks

obviously if different dipsticks, what i was trying to say was, if you put proper amount of oil in ski, and it reads right, (you should let it all drain back to pan after you shut it off) just mark other one instead of buying another stick

You've answered your own question... order another red stick and discard the yellow one (or list it on Ebay or something).

Evidentally so! It's probably not significant to the engine's operation however, since as you noted the difference is only about 1/8 an inch on the stick... that's not alot of oil.

Griz without knowing exactly how much oil is left in each engine (after draining as much as possible with suction pump... which isn't an exact science!), there's no way to know exactly how much oil to put back in to bring to exact "full" level in each engine. That was Greg's problem with your suggestion I imagine.
