Hydro locked motor in 2001 GTX

So I just purchased a 2001 Seadoo GTX RFI that had not run for a few years as the owner said it was over heating. When I went to start the jetski up I found the motor was locked up and would not turn over. I removed the plugs and tried cranking it again and this time a ton of oil came out of the cylinders. Once I cleared out the oil I was able to put the plugs back in and get the jetski to start up. Should I be looking at installing a shut of valve to the to the bottom of the motor?

You can wait to install shut off valve, I have one that came that way and after I got the oil out it never hydro locked again. Sometimes it’s a very very slow leak that takes years to leak enough to be an issue. With that being said, every spring I ground the plug wires, take the plugs out and roll it over just in case
