Greetings Sea Doo forum members,
This is my first post so please excuse me if I break any forum etiquette rules....
My Father and I are looking to get back into riding after about a 10 year hiatus. Previously we had a 95 SPI and 96 GTI. We have also owned an early 90-91 SP and 94 SPX.
Having not ridden in such a long time we aren't sure what has changed with the hull designs. I have done some homework and I know the 96-97XP and 97-99 SPX X4 hulls are highly regarded by enthusiasts. Could any offer an opinion of how they ride compared to the 95 SPI I used to have? I have also been considering a GS style hull. I'd be curious to see what opinions people have comparing the early SP hull, the X4 and GS style hulls.
My Father used to ride the 96 GTI which I know was the original 3 seat hull design. The next generation 3 seat hull looks a bit different, but I was wondering if the ride changed much? He is also considering a newer 4 stroke unit which I know is a much different animal than these older 2 stroke models. (engine and hull)
Any feedback that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.
