I am working on my brothers 1996 RXP and the starter just makes a loud 'clunk' sound when I try to start it. Sounds like it is engaging, but it just won't crank. I tried to turn it from the drive shaft with no luck. I think it is seized. Is there any way to unseize it easily?
Could be an engine out job.
Check theres no water in the barrels.
Remove the prop shaft incase thats jambed up.
There are ways to free siezed motors. But its upto you which way you tackle it. Internet search will bring up lots of ideas.
