How to tell if fuel pump is working?

I have a 99 GTX RFI. It will not start. The engine does turn over and I am definitely getting a spark. So tracking the gas.

I have not used the SeaDoo for about 4 years. When I first went to start the fuel pump fuse went out. I fixed the fuse. But still will not start.

I believe the fuel pump is suppose to turn on for a few seconds when attaching the lanyard. Is this true? I hear a click in the front of the boat but it does not seem to me the fuel pump turns on. I listened and put my finger on it and nothing.

I was shocked to find a replacement if over $400. Guess I am out of touch. I want to be sure that the fuel pump is out before shelling out that kind of money.

I also want to check the wire harness that attaches. Curious if anyone knows which leads should go hot when attaching the lanyard? Also what voltage I should be looking for?

Thanks in advance for any help.
