How to prime oil injection system???

Hello,
This winter I had to pull the engine in my 96 GSX and do a bunch of stuff. All the oil leaked out of all the hoses and the reservoir as well. After I fill the reservoir is there a way to prime the system so I dont blow up my engine? I was thinking of adding oil to the gas to be safe and just run it rich for a tank....

there is a bolt on the oil inj pump that can be loosened to prime the system, 7mm or 8mm I think, loosen it, don't remove it, and it will leak oil slowly. get all the air and bubble out of the lines and filter. then close.

Post 2 can remove the air from the oil tank to the injection pump, and I recccomend you replace the two small oil lines from the pump that go to each cylinder at the Rotary Valve Cover, as these can become brittle, leak & break, and go bad after 2-3 years, and should be changed out as preventive mantenance. Failure of these lines give injection pumps a bad rap when lubrication is diagnosed to be cause of engine implodeing.
Priming of the lines is easy, during idle, hold the cable operated lever counter-clockwise to maximize oil output thru these new lines to get any air bubbles out. Check the lever alignment marks for correct idle throttle position. Bills86e

That makes sense, will do.
When I reinstalled my engine I followed the specs in the shop manual on how to align the lever. I'm pretty sure its correct.... well find out. lol

Just re-attaching the big lines at the engine case bottom will self prime upon filling up the oil tank reservoir by natural gravity and will circulate that system upon action of the rotary valve gear in the lower crankcase cavity.
The reservoir's lower nipple is supply to carb side, exhaust side hose dumps oil back into tank top nipple. Hope this helps.
