Ok, I've got the doo's put up for the winter. However, this is the 1st year to have them and without experience I'm not sure how often to replace things. I read in the manual that the fuel filters can be cleaned/blown out versus being replaced. However, with 9 year old doo's would it be good advice to replace them? Especially since they are right in front of my face when i take the seat off. I am planning on replacing the in-line oil filters also as well as the spark plugs once I get all the fogging oil blown out after the first start up of the season.

Anything I'm forgetting?

Unless there is a problem with your fuel filter, like a hole in the filter screen, or the plastic frame is cracked or something, there is no need to replace it. You would just be throwing money away.

The manual says you should replace the oil filter every year, but I don't know anyone that actually does. I've been told you can just take it out and soak it in gas to clean it.

I actually replace both when I get the boat out in the spring. The $20 is worth the peace of mind to me.

Thanks. It looks like the oil filters or $10 and the fuel filters are $20. I think I'll replace both next year then examine the fuel filters and only replace when needed but continue with the oil filters yearly.

Is $20 and $10 pretty much universal pricing for them?
