Hi guys.
I have a 1995 Sea-Doo sp with a 581 motor and I am a newbe
This may be a dumb question, but how much 2 cycle oil should I be using? Does this mix at a 50:1 ratio like an outboard motor? I have used about 12 gallons of gas so far but probably less than a qt. of oil. I would guess more like a half a qt. Is there anything I should be checking on the motor like an oil filter for the oil pump?
Thanks for any help you can offer.

With the oil injection system it mixes variable dependant upon throttle position. If you run WOT it will be using 40:1 mixture I believe. It will use less oil than premixing. If it hasn't been done in a while, change the oil filter. If you do it right you can do it without the need to bleed. Otherwise, Follow procedure for bleeding afterwards.

Thank you for your help.
I just ordered a filter and will change it this week.
Do I need to pressure test the system after changing the filter, I was reading something about that.
I am using very little oil but we have a lot of seaweed here so I have been doing a lot of slow rides back to shore to clear the water intake.
I did not realize oil mixture was dependent on throttle position.
Thank you for taking the time to school a newbe
