how fast should my ski be ?

i have a 99 gti 717. i used my gps, and it tops out at about 40 mph. does that sound right ?

My neighbor has an 04 gti that runs about 45

Never clocked mine. However... We have ridden it with 4 persons!

I gotta make a vid of us all on it! I bet we could get 6 on it, if we took off from the trailer, with deep water!

Of course, it would be a SHORT ride, in a small area, to see if we can!

40 is just about right for that age. My 2000 gti hits about 45 , and the 2001 does about 48 - 50.

It should go about 99mph!! Just kidding. Most of them only go around 40-45mph until you step up to the high cc' skis.
