How do you attach a boarding step?

So I purchased a used boarding step for my 1997 GSX and not sure what is the proper way to install it. What hardware do I use and how do I attach it to the back of the jet ski?

They use large stainless wood screws and a sealant like 3M 5200 or silicone. You also need to make sure it came with the correct plastic wedges to fit your particular hull.

Does the screws go all the way through the hull?

Yes but they are just coarse thread wood screws. No nuts or anything on the backside.

How long of screws will I need

I think they were 1-1/2” but I can’t be 100% sure.
