Hose connections

Have my 1997 GSI I received in parts. Everything going back together and I have a few spouts where certain hoses go I cannot figure out. I know the mail fuel lone from the tank goes to one carb outlet but which one? There is a larger capped hose connection on the oil pump assembly below the carb I cannot figure out and I also have a capped off fitting on the RR of the block that I have no clue about. I do have both the main oil lines hooked up and the two heater hoses attaching to the back of the head are no problem. I also have the driveshaft out and apart but the stainless "sleeve" that carbon bushing rides on was only secured by an Oring and not a metal "C" shaped clamp. Is that OK? Pics included and help appreciated.

The stainless sleeve is on wrong side of the "O" ring...
The pulse fitting is the fitting that is straight out,,,it is marked "pulse"...the lower curved fitting is the "in" to the rear carb...the top curved fitting is the return to the rear carb

There is only one carb and all three of the fillings coming out of it are straight. So, you are saying the flat end of that stainless sleeve should be pointed toward the engine and not the pump and the bushing should side on the thinner side?

The lower fitting is the "in" from the tank,,,the top fitting is the "return" to the tank.

Thanks sincerely, Popps, I'm still a bit baffled by the driveshaft sleeve. I tried to reverse that stainless sleeve but the carbon bushing will not fit over that lower end, it just seems to fit into that rubber bellows and ride loosely on the shaft itself which spins under it and that boot. Does that seem logical?

The bellow goes onto the hull sleeve,,,securred by a gear clamp,,,the carbon ring goes into the bellow secured by a gear clamp,,,the drive shaft goes thru the carbon ring,,,and thru the stainless ring,,,,the drive shaft goes into the pto,,,you pull the stainless ring back toward the bellow to expose the ring groove,,you slip the cir clip into the groove and let the bellow the stainless ring over the clip and the rubber ."O" ring.
