Hood strut

Has anyone tried to mount a strut on the hood of there X4 hull? I get tired of it falling when I'm trying to get something from the box while on the water.

I'm sure it could be done, but I've never thought it was an issue. The hood doesn't weigh much so you wouldn't be able to use any of the struts from other skis with fiberglass hoods. You could also just swap to the lighter single gauge hood or maybe modify something manual like the HX manual hood piece.

Maybe a spring of some sort in the hinge
