Any information on how to access the nose area to enable replacement of gas strut would be helpful. Access panel appears to be glued in place.

Will get that image in the morning and post it. It will show a panel that seals the 'dry bay' from the bilge hiding the lower attaching point of the gas strut. The panel appears to be glued in place.
Thanks,
Oldtimer

If it is like the 2004 RXT you pull on the panel to remove. Use a putty knife to help separate it so you can get your fingers under it and pull.

I do not have GTX experience but would think for same year it is similar.

This reply is for 'Coastiejoe: Looks like I won't need to post pic of strut area. Member DCM0123 has offered a tip on how to access the area in question answering my question.
Thanks,
Oldtimer
