I have a 96 challenger 110 only had it on the water a few times before I had to put it away and it seemed to take longer than I expected to come up on plane when it gets on plan it excelerates very good. Just seems a little slow out of the hole is this normal for these boats ? or could I have a problem with the impeller or wear ring boat has very low hrs and my first jet boat so not sure what to expect. Im thinking its prob normal I had 4 adults in the boat and I did manage to get up on plane and it ran about 43 mph. When I was alone ran close to 50 but seemed a little slow to plan think I had it trimmed all the way down maybe I will play with the trim a little when I get it out this spring.

Hey tucker, I own the same version challenger only a 1997 model. If you have adults in it, it will be a little slower to plane than with you alone. I would use the vts system to adjust the trim to have it plane a little quicker. I start with the trim all the way down and push it to speed trim..all the way forward for maximum speed. If the fuel tank is full it adds to the weight also so that could slow the planning too. Close to 50 is a good top speed. It should also be revving about 7,000 RPM's for maximum performance. Let us know how it works out for you and give us an update when you get it in the water again.
