Highflow filter plug question

I bought a Quantum fuel pump kit from highflowfuel.com. It says no mods necessary, but the electrical plug is different. I know others have used these kits. Did you have to cut and splice your oe plug onto the new pump?
Here is what I did today. I pulled the tanks to clean the old fuel out and clean the tanks etc. The previous owner left a mess.

The answer came back from highflow. The plug shouldn't be different. They must have sent the wrong pump.
