Hi, the ski has been running fine and in fact started and ran great twice yesterday before I parked it for lunch. Came back about and hour later and got a 'Hi Temp' alert on the display (2004 GTI RFI LE) and it wouldn't start. Tried a few more times and then on about the 8th try it started and ran fine. Experienced the same symptom later in the day. While running the ski seems fine, never overheats and sounds normal.

I understand the water temperature sensor is located in the speed sensor on this model, is that correct? I had it replaced about two years ago and wondering if that's it as I don't think the unit is actually overheating. How could be overheated if it was sitting out of the water for over an hour!

Any other thoughts about what could be causing this or other troubleshooting tips?

Thanks in advance!!!
