Hi y'all new guy here Still in Corpus Christi, but will be moving to San Antonio in about 6 to 8 weeks. I am looking at picking up a 1995 seadoo speedster. I am actually thinking of trading one of my 4 wheelers for it. It looks to be in good shape, with some throttle problems. Previous owner says it doesn't keep consistent throttle. He knows nothing about mechanical stuff, I am hoping it is not a basket case. It was one brand new motor in it and the other is original. I am hoping it is not a basket case. I have read where the carbs can easily get trash in them, and it sounds like this might actually be what is wrong. If not, There could possibly be something stuck in one of the impellers. Anyhow I have two kids daughter 10 and son 4. We love the water and it has been about 4 years since my last PWC. 4 Yamaha wave runners. Before that years ago we had an olllllllldddd invader with mercruiser drive i/o. I am a machinist so mechanical stuff is never a problem with me. I love to build Traditional Hot Rods and Jeeps.

Welcome to the forum, you will find lots of great help here, good luck with the boat, sounds like a carb isue to me

Thanks Wezz. i have always been interested in the seadoo boats not really into small boats, but since we will be living close to a lake I thought it would be a good time to try it out. My main concern is being able to tow the kids or the wife around with it and still fir 4 ppl in it. I am pretty sure it is a carb issue as well, I go look at it tomorrow and will take some pics so I can post them here.

You will be able to tow them around and then some with the speedster, I have a single eng sportster and I tow the kids around in a tube with it, if it has the stock fuel lines they are gray, they brake down and get into the carbs, if you look down into the boat section you will find stuff on this isue. good luck
