Hi There great website.

I just got a 96XP in great shape minus a new battery and a rebuild of the seals on the drive shaft. Parts are on order from the US.

As I am keen to do all the work myself I am sure the members and this site will help me through.

Many Thanks

Hello Mate, and welcome to the SeaDoo forum,

You've got a great ski, I have one, it's my favorite, there's another guy in Perth working on a 95XP, your's looks to be in much better shape. His name is Guyph.

Hi Lou,

Many thanks for the warm welcome. Sorry for the basic question in this section but..

Could you please tell me the exact model, mainly is it the XP787 or 800? I have orderd parts (boots, Driveline repair kit and carbon seal assembly) from onlyseado.com but im not 100% sure if they are the right ones. Its a long way to ship if they not.

It was well looked after but there is some milky oil under the driveshaft cover.

Hi Mate,

Crisso is my "Cousin" from Oz.

Anyway the 96XP is SeaDoo Model no. 5662, it only has one motor some people refer to it as a 787 actually that's the correct displacement, some people just round it off to 800, but it's the same thing.

One other thing, while this won't effect performance, I noticed from your picture that the handle bar cover is missing, I would try to find a good used one, it's going to be a lot cheaper than a trip to the dentist.

Hi Lou

Thanks for clearing that up for me.

In regards to the cover the Seadoo dealership in Perth said they were aftermarket racing bars which do have a pad across the support bar, I have been trying to find a cover though but they seem to be like chickens teeth here in Australia. Trying to source a speedometer as it is missing the dial has also tough but I have only been looking for less than a week

I beleive it also has aftermarket air filters

Thanks Lou, After making a few jumps over the past few days I have taken your advice and retrofitted a foam roof rack cover for my surfboard that I bought in South Africa a few years back, It fits perfectly.

Nice find.
But I would continue looking for a pad.
Your face could still hit the 4 exposed bolts.....
