Please help I have a 2006 Sea-Doo GTI, it wont start when I push the start button. When I attach the key it powers up and does not give me any error messages, it beebs like normal. It was running just fine about three weeks ago and when I tried it this week end it wont start. Any suggestions would be great.

Thank You

How old is the battery and have you checked it for charge? Do you hear a "click" from within the hull when you push the start button? Either your battery has died or your starter relay has died, those are the 2 most likely culprits.

There is no click at all, I assume the battery is good because the dash activates with the key, and shows fuel level. Is there a way to test the started relay?

Are you sure? Do you have the seat off so you can clearly hear? It's not a very loud click, easy to miss if you're sitting atop the boat with the seats latched down.

It doesn't take 12 volts to power up the dash display. It takes almost no amps at all in fact. Starting the engine however takes GOOD volts AND amps.

How old is your battery? Have you tried putting the battery on an automatic charger overnight? You can take it out and to any auto parts store (or Walmart automotive section) and have it tested for free. They'll tell you if it's good or not, though it's unlikely Walmart will have a compatible replacement but most auto parts stores should or should be able to get one in next day.

There are MANY posts on starting issues in this forum already.... I cannot begin to retype it all! Find out the condition of your battery 1st, then if it's ok come back and Search the forums and you'll find gobs of advice and other things to check. Battery or starter relay are the 2 most common points of failure though... I just ordered a new starter relay for mine in fact this morning.
