Hey guys. I had my ski out for its second ride and of course something broke. Go figure right. Well I found this video that k think is causing my problem. The reverse handle works but it stays stuck in reverse unless you manually flip the bucket back up when it's off. It's a 2008 GTX. It also took on a lot of water while stuck in reverse. This video the guy has the same thing and I assume this means it's broken and is causing the water issue for sure and maybe will fix the selector handle. Any input on if this is the problem and if so is there a guide or video that shows how to replace it? I looked with no luck. Thanks guys! Here's that video.

i'm having the same issue with my 2004 reverse gate. what you are gonna need is a new nut. and depending is the thread is still stuck in the hull you are gonna need some kind of pick and hammer to break the rest of the bolt out of the hull. from there maybe somebody can chime in and help us to assemble it back together again. i'm gonna get the parts for mine tomm. 28 dollars from the dealer for the halves, seal, and nut. i'm also gonna call a dealer in the morning and have him walk me through how to assemble it again if nobody chimes in here.

The issue is can you get the plastic nut out without taking too much apart. I recently replaced my brother's and had to remove the pump pull the cable back through to get to the nut. There are two pieces that fit around the cable and a washer. The nut squeezes it together to seal it. It's not that difficult to do just takes some time. If you remove the cable you will have to remove the glove box to get to the cable. Not too difficult.

I managed to do it with the pump on and the nozzle. it was a PITA but I had it all taken apart and put back together within 30mins. The problem I had was having enough strenghth to compress the seal and get a couple threads started. from that point I used to long pair of needle nose pliers to turn the nut. works good now. being a machinist I might go to my shop and make a tool to see if i can turn it some more no leaks though so i might not
