I will try one more time for some help. I have two 06 rxp 4tec supercharged. One of them is having a bit of a problem. When you gun it from a standstill the rpm's just sit there and bounce of the rev limiter for about a 10-15 sec delay then finally it goes. My other one grabs right away and nearly throws you off and it will go 70mph no matter where your trim is. The one with the problem will barley hit 70mph only with the trim all the way up. I just had it out this last weekend and now it is starting to stink like maybe its building up carbs or getting a little to hot but the indactor has never came on. The one with the problem did have its impeller changed out last year by an authorized dealer due to it sucking up a rock but I am assuming the same was put back in. Other then that, that is all that has been done too them. Please help any ideas or test to do would help me I am new to these kind of powersports. I am wanting to learn. thanks

You problem sounds like cavatation. lay under the ski and have a good look at the impeller and wear ring. The impeller should have no wear and the gap between the impeller and wearing i think is .35mm, either way the gap is less then the thickness of a piece of paper and if you get someone to shine a flashlight through from the other side you should see almost no if any light coming through. If it has a new wearring im guessing you need a new impeller.

Thank you for the help. The impeller was replaced last year. I also noticed something else this weekend at WOT the one with the problem still bounces off the rev limiter what is it like 8150 rpms or something. So I took my other one out and at WOT the rpms are at 7100 or so.

No the one that has the problem the rpm's are bouncing of the rev limiter so i think thats at like 8100 or so right? And that is at full throttle going about 65. That is about as fast as it will go now. My other one that runs great at 70mph at full throttle its rpm's are at like 7100 around in there.

whats you altitude? if at sea level rpms at WOT should be no less then 8000rpm's, max rpms are 8100. Now the one with the problem is it taking on any water?

hmmm... check the clearance of the wear ring thats all i can think of. and the one that only hits 7100rpms sound like the supercharger is sliping. how many hr's on the skis?
