RESTO Help removing a gasket

Hello all, I am rebuilding a 951 and I am having trouble removing a gasket from the exhaust manifold. I don’t want to use a razor so as to not gauge the surface. Any tricks? Thanks,

Careful use of a razor blade is the easiest.

i first use a razor blade to get the big chunks off, then i go to this to clean it up. never had an issue.

Be careful with the wire wheel. If you use too coarse of one you can actually damage the gasket surface.

I like brass wire wheels because they won't jack shit up like a steel cup brush like the one above

it all depends on how you use it. if you go against the wire, it'll damage the surface. going with the wire will clean it and not damage it.
