hello I have a guy who is selling a 04 seadoo GTX. He claims that the ski "This ski is currently not in running condition and needs some work. From what the dealer told me, the motor mounts came loose and caused the motor to shift, therefore disconnecting the rest of the drive line. Would make a great project for someone mechanically inclined"
in your opinion what all would need to repaired?
thanks

It's hard to say. It's like asking "how long is a piece of string?".
Does the engine run? Why did the mounts break?

He wants 2000 for it and he didn't ask the dealer for a finally price

If I were to take it, I'd check around a dealership and see what they think first. After all, even if you can fix it, I would assume that you cannot since your time is also money. I would see what skis in running condition of that kind go for around your area via ebay, for instance. Lets say a running ski goes for $4000, give or take. Dealer wants $2000 to fix it. He wants $2000. No sale. What if the dealer is wrong and it comes to $2500? Now you have a $4000 ski you paid $4500 for. Also, you probably have to rebuild the Supercharger to use metal washers if it hasn't had them done yet. Need to figure that out too.
