help my 98 gsx starter relay just buzzes

brand new relay, why cant i get the starter to turn over..possibly a new defective relay...any checks i can do, 951 motor...any help will be appreciated

Clean your battery neg cable end at engine.

i took the starter out, tested ok. bought a new relay. batt read 12 VOLTS....THAT DONT MEAN SH*T. when i took the battery to get it checked out read 12 volts but no frickin cca's . i lied it had 11 cca i was pissed just bought the damn thing, deka battery. when i called them out on it they where nasty to me. screw that company, i' ll never buy a battery from them again. word of mouth is great advertisement
