Help me! 2001 Seadoo GTX DI shuts off.

Hi every1, Im new to this forum and I need your help. I purchased this 2001 seadoo gtx di this pass week. Before I bought it, the previous owner said that it runs only when you give it gas. It does not stay on at idle or without gas. As any1 had issues of this kind? Any help out there is appreciated.
