Hello all, new to boating, first boat ever 2002 Challenger 1800. I like to repair my own stuff and this seems like a helpful site.

Welcome to the forum lots of great people here, Also post a few pics of your ride when you get a chance

I see you have a Challanger too, I just finished the interior on mine and I hope to have a stalling issue ironed out this weekend

That looks really good where did you get the covers? I was thinking about going through zz auto group for mine.

That's where I got them. They are good people to deal with. I needed an xtra panel for the armrest and the sent it to me in exchange for photos of my boat

Nice, I'll definitely use them, do they not include fabric for the arm rest in the kit? I definitely want to redo both of mine.

Where did you put in when you were resting things, I don't want to block a ramp when I take mine out for sea trials incase things don't go smoothly.

They include it. The kit comes with everything you need. starboard side on mine got damaged, not sure how, so I ordered just the armrest. I sent them a pic of the damage and they saw the back seat in the background and said " looks good, send us more pics of your boat, so who knows, maybe they will put them on their web site.. Ha

I think I saw the pictures of yours on the site and ebay. Was it tough to swap and did you have any foam damage? Mine captains are good, the rear bench, spoiler and sundeck are shot.

My foam was good. I bought a nematic stapler for 30 bucks at lowes and used my pancake compressor. That made all the difference. Electric stapler didn't have enough power to drive the staple into the plastic frames. Patience and the ability to pull the Vinyl tight is important to a good outcome. If you don't take the time to pull the vinyl tight you end up with wrinkles and a sloppy fit. This is what my seats looked like before

By the way, I liked this boat but wanted something bigger so I ended up buying a Scarab 215 with twin rotax 215's. I still have my Challanger and would like to sell it. If you know anyone looking for a nice boat mine is for sale

Looks like you back seat can be salvaged, maybe a little foam patches glued in but very doable. The spoiler could be just a long piece of foam glued in and shaped. I little work but not real bad.
