Heated Grips!

Has anyone ever put heated hand grips on a Seadoo? I always have cold hands unless it's over 75.... and it's not very often 75 here. I was out on a snow machine the other night and the heated grips and throttle were a lifesaver(-20 degrees) . I wonder if water would affect them.....???

well

i would guess a snow mobile would have to be 99% water proof..

that's a cool idea!

i always wanted to pipe the coolant check valve that shoots hot water out, and split it to each footwell... on a small valve... so i could turn it on / off...

i'm gonna look up heated grips!

would something like this work?

I guess you could remove the grips (10mm bolt under rubber grippy) then wrap the metal with these, then put the grip back on?

they look mostly water proof. I'd use a better switch. you could hide a water proof rocker in the glove box on a GTX EASY, or under the top cover hatch of my XP...

email the seller and ask about water proofing... just make sure all the connections are water tight (crimps with heat shrink, then electrical tape them)

it might work... it might not.

I'd wire it so that the engine has to be on... else if you left these on, you'd have a dead battery in like 30 min.

Those look perfect!! I think you'll want the switch outside so you can reach it. They get pretty hot!! Skidoo puts a switch with 2 heat settings. I'll shoot him an email and see if they're waterproof.
