i have a 1990 seadoo gt that will run all day in the driveway and runs perfect for the first ride of the day.as soon as i bring it back in for a break or what ever it does not want to start back up.it will after about 15-20 minutes of cranking with the throttle wide open but im sure that is bad for my starter and electrical system.if anyone has had a similar problem with their ski please share the info on what fixed it.so far i have completley drained the bad gas out of the tank and cleaned the fuel filter.it definetly has fresh gas.i have not cleaned the carb though.also there is a slow water leak where the jet shaft goes through the hull not alot of water getting in but can that affect my starting if something is getting wet?thanks for any help offered:ack:

Close to same problem

I have a 97 gtx and a 96 gsx. We cleaned out both of the fuel filters which had a bunch of junk in them. Next time we took them out each one of them behaved the same way. Started right up first time. Came in for a rest for 5 to 10 minutes. Got on them and they didn't want to start. Had to pull choke out all the way and crank them for a couple of times and they would start up. If we would get on them after sitting like for a couple of minutes they would start right up. We have never had any starting issues like this before we cleaned out the fuel filter. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :ack:
