hard starting after sitting for ad ay

i have a 1993 explorer that is hard starting after sitting for overnight i have to spray gas into the spark arrest-er to get it to start but after it's running for a few minutes it starts right up. i did go and get new plugs because i noticed i was only getting a weak looking orange spark instead of a strong blue one. could this be the source of my problem and if so what would be the cause

trim the plug wires at boots' ends. Wouldnt be bad idea, to install primer kit, vs. the choke cable.
