hey everyone its been a while since I've been on the forum but a few weeks ago i picked up a 2004 gtx s/c only had 50 hours on it bought it from my buddy friend.
so i took it out for the first time with my gf on saturday seemed alright then i tried keeping up with my buddy on his 215 and for some reason i started noticing that i was giving it throttle the RPMs where high but i wasn't going anywhere fast.. so whatever fast forward to monday i spoke to few people told them my issue and they said the wear ring is probably shot.. so i ordered a new one got it in today put it in took the old one out which when pulling everything out i notice the prop was pretty chewed up, and the old wear ring was. so i put it all back together cause my friend said lets go riding , so i started the ski in my driveway ran good blah blah dropped it in the water now 1 thing i noticed right away unless my mind was playing tricks on me, in forward no throttle the ski seemed to move little faster on its own might be in my head idk lol my gf wasnt on the back this time so idk lol
then i hit the throttle revs up but does not go anywhere i did not see over 9mph, looked behind me did notice smoke a little more then usual ? maybe idk I'm not 100 %
can someone tell me WTF is going on cause i want to ride and this is really pissin me off now..
