Hi,
I have an 02 GX RFI,
Last year I screwed up and put outboard 2 stroke oil in the thing, realized drained as much out the tank as I could, and put the BRP stuff in. It ran fine right after, but after sitting for a month the symptoms to follow started in. I winterized it, opened it this winter and it ran fine. After sitting for a month and a half in the water this all started again.
The engine "dogs" as I call it, and just kinda putters at 3000 rpm. Although, when I drive it you hear it and feel it kicking back to normalcy, and suddenly its good. When I start it at the dock it stalls unless you give it gas, and even when kept in neutral at the dock you can give it throttle and here it kicking in the its normal and back into crap mode.
I am wondering if this could be related to the RAVE valves? Or the mixing of the 2 stroke oils clogging something?
How screwed am I?
it has a crappy kmart battery in it which is low on charge and has be charged often, could this in any way be related?
John
