gtx di error code p0116

has anyone had that p0116 code on the candoo it's saying engine temperature sensor faulty but all my temps are good. could it be temperature sensor on muffler

Typically if it is a sensor fault it is saying that it is getting a bad reading from the sensor, not that the temperature is bad. The sensor itself changes in resistance based on temperature so if the readings are out of the range the computer expects to see then you get a sensor fault.
