The electrical components are sealed. I don't believe that any parts inside are repairable...just replaceable.

I hope someone out there can/will help you. I have basically the same type problem on my 2000 GTX Sea Doo. When I install the battery, I also reset the clock as when the battery is disconnected, it turns off. I reset it to the correct time and every time I unplug the lanard to stop the unit and later on restart it, the clock again resets to 12am. It resets and keeps the right time as long as I do not unplug the lanard. All the other gauges seem to work fine. I am only having an issue with the clock. Any ideas? Thanx Steve rovnr@aol.com

The manual doesn't say anything about a battery back up to keep the time, just how to set the time. I did find that the "Red/ Purple wire" from the guage goes to the 5 amp fuse in the MPEM, and out to the battery for a direct voltage from the battery that might be the power to keep the clock drawing a small amount to keep it's memory. Check that fuse and the wire to see if it has power after the lanyard is disconnected.

I hope this helps out.

Normally I would agree with you that the power backup to the clock could be the problem. BUT the clock does not lose it's power, as the time only resets to 12am. It does dissapear from the screen when the lanard is pulled, as it is supposed to, But when the lanard is re-inserted, the time comes back on and is reset to 12am. You can again set the correct time and it keeps the correct time until the lanard is pulled. If the power was missing, wouldn't the clock display be gone too? Thanx Steve

I've repaired more than one on GTX 4-TEC's.

If its anything similar in assembly to the 4-TECs and if its the same gauge set as a 2000 GTX Limited I may be able to repair it, Depends on what is wrong with it. I have a 2000 GTX Limited and a 2002 4-TEC.

I would love to have/find a repair for this problem. But I am of the opinion that it is in the computer system? If you can look into this, how can we arrange it? I live in the So. Calif. area, where are you located? Would I bring the unit to you, or would you come here? Thanx Steve
