GSI 717 always crank ( with no key ) and with key

Hi guys , i got a seadoo gsi 717 and i really got some problem with him. I came first with a 12v fault message and no crank . So i replace the igniter ( solenoid ) for a new one because mine was faulty. After just change my coil because he was old and rusty and after i changed my solenoid my seadoo was not working again... so with a new coil i tought it was not a bad idea.

Now i got a 12V continous on the igniter so , with a key or no key , all she doo is crank. I got to remove the groud terminal on my battery to stop it ...

And still can’t start the motor .

She do the 2 beep with the key.

When i push 5 times on the start button with no key she also do 2 beep...

Fucking don’t understand is problem.

Sounds like its possessed or you have a bad ground on the engine where it plugs into the mag housing.

Get the wiring diagram for it. You will see how it all supposed to be connected and what is inside the mag housing.

Here is what I can think of off the top of my head.

There is some way the computer is thinking it should be cranking or there is a short or even an open that is causing it to freak out.

Things to check.
Get the diagram and measure from the plug at the coil box up to the mpem computer. Disconnect what you have to in order to test. Look for resistance. Each wire from one end to the other should have barely any resistance As in less than an ohm. When you do each test make sure you test from one end to the other and then one end to engine ground. ( make sure the battery is disconnected)

Then measure the charging coil on the mag housing and the trigger coil. and also check the ground wire. I suspect you will find something here.

The rear connector on the coil box do sometimes corode inside and short out.

Need some more info. From what your describing it seems like there is either a failure in the wiring or the computer or an intermittent connection somewhere .

Sounds like you put the solenoid power wire on the wrong post. The big wire from the battery should also have the little red wire on the same solenoid post.

Also a low battery or cheap aftermarket solenoid can fuse the solenoid closed.

He's getting two beeps, that would eliminate the wire on the wrong post.

I think there is always power at the solenoid and the mpem control's the ground. Is that right ?
