Thanks Guys

Just searching info on mounting a hummingbird 798ci unit from my fishing boat to my new Wake Pro.
I cannot find a 2015 model in my area to check for suitability

Would anyone know if there is room to mount unit and if it would fail if I flipped the boat

Thanks in advance

I've seen them mounted on the glove box, the handlebar, and on the hood...
just depends on how creative you want to get.

my bro in law built his GPS into his glovebox lid, looks and works awesome.... (its on a honda, but same idea)

he is the official "guide" on all of our tricky rides where its easy to get lost, every island looks the same, or new ride spots where we have zero fkn clue where we're going.

I use a handheld gps (etrex legend) so my unit won't get me where I want to go but it gives me good breadcrumb trails to follow home.

Thanks great info Spim
Will look into doing that one
I live in an area of Canada they call Thousand Islands so I will need lots of help to get home most days

ya, I hear ya, that's why I'm so dam glad my bro put his gps in....
I live in the 10,000 islands area, so its insane.

one ride spot, 10 minutes from my house... you literally make a left out of the ramp, ride 15 minutes and your lost. every dam island "key" looks exactly the same. When I go to marco (the 10K islands) I'm lost in 5 minutes. Without a GPS your pretty much screwed.

edit,,, what my brother did was wire one of the connectors that look like this below into the battery (or maybe spliced into a hot lead, i'd have to ask) and then he can plug/unplug his gps into the power source.

(these are the same type of connectors we use for optimates and battery tender Jr's. easy to find if you know what your looking for, Pollacks?)
