The Bad. Bought a 1997 and 1998 XP a while back and we had tons of fun on them. One time my son sucked up a rope into the drive shaft and attempted to remove the rope by tipping the PWC on its side. Another time we attempted to get my unbelievably uncoordinated nephews on during rough seas. Needless to say in both instances the PWC’s got swamped and caused a myriad of problems.
The good. Found this site and was able to research, download, and ask questions which proved invaluable. Thank you soooo much. I like to work on things myself, just something I like to doo.
Learned some valuable lessons. Lots of small parts and tons of elbow grease later I was able to get the 2 PWC’s cleaned, up and running and back on the water in no time.
I have included some pictures of the more horrific findings and because of this fabulous site and its wonderful contributors all came out well in the end.
