Don't you hate intermittent faults. Sometimes when I attach the lanyard on my '07 RXT, I don't get any beeps and the gauges light up like normal for about 3 seconds and then fade away to a blank display. If I press the start/stop button - I get nothing.
I have swapped out the battery - actually connected up my car battery and got the same problem. So I know its not the battery.
Sometimes when I attach the lanyard I get the beep beep and when I press the start button it starts and runs for less than a second and then dies. The gauges fade away and no amount of button pressing does anything.
All the fuses check out fine.
And of course sometmes it just works fine. Last Saturday I had it on the lake for 2 hours without a problem. Got it home and washed it down, tried to start it on the hose, but no beeps, faded gauges and no start. At least I wasn't stuck out on the water.
Anyone got any ideas? What should I be checking next?
