On a scale of 1 to 10 How hard is it to take out the gas tank and oil tank I'm a 1996 Seadoo bombardier gtx?

I think you have to pull the engine on the GTX to pull the tank. 1 being easy 10 being a beotch......I'll give it a 10.

I'm pretty sure you have to pull the engine also, although the hood opening is pretty big, so is the tank.

I think it is not hard to take it out. It is quite easy to do it. Don't know why you are saying this in community? Would you tell me what are the problems being faced by you?

I'm going off my memory, I could be wrong but I thought I have read it on more than one place here but could be confused with the GSX. That's why I said "I think". Have you removed one from a 96 or later GTX? If so, please let the original poster any tips, sounds like you might have some insight.

wouldn't asking the question in the community be the best way to get the most answers? the more answers you get the better. I replaced the motor myself with info from this forum alone, couldn't have done it without the help on here. On my GTI, the gas tank wouldn't come out unless the motor was out I believe, as I had the motor out when I removed mine to clean and check. Didn't try to go through the front storage opening. Oil tank is pretty easy, motor out or not.

I know the 95 gts you can pull the tank out the front. It was tight, watch the hoses on the fuel baffle, and remove the water separator.

Easy, it will pull out from the front. 96 GSX entirely different story. Total PITA
