Hi! I have a problem that my Xp di 2004 model has a strong smell of gasoline in the engine room when I stop the engine. I've been looking everywhere for leakage but found nothing. it is normal that it smells so intensely? There is some danger if I use my PWC? I have still not been at the lake this year, but it starts and runs fine on land.

Tilt nose up, pull front basket and rinse it, but not on your nice driveway. Look for the rainbow's of colors on what comes out the rear drain plug(s). This will also remove a possibility of the fumes..........Ka.....BOOOM..!!!!!!!!!!!!!! , At start-up attempt.

I've already done it, but it is not rainbow colors in the water that came out of the hull.

I found the leakage! it was the fuel filter, it has not withstood the winter and cracked so there is a small cloud of fuel mist coming out.

So here's my question! Can i cut the hoses and buy a new filter and mount it in between the hoses? or must i buy a new original? think it's a bit expensive and buy a new one for $ 210 + shipping + tax to Norway! when I can buy an un-original for $ 50

what about the pressure? isn't it between 6-7 bar pressure in that hose when the pwc is running ? i should probably have a filters that can withstand the pressure.

What filter are you talking about. Do you have a inline filter that someone added or are referring to the one that hangs above gas tank. Water separator

It's part nr 72 that one that hangs above the tank, i thought that was a filter ?

It's a filter/water separator. I think you cab use any filter for that inline one your talking about I go to autozone or locally sporting store I get 1/4 inch inline filter. Mine needs to be high flow rate I'm sure same to you.
